The Real Story
Let me be honest with you: this isn't some big corporate project with a team of developers who've never loaded a round or shot a match. RangeLogs.io was built by one person—a competitive shooter who got tired of juggling spreadsheets, notebooks, and generic apps that clearly weren't designed by someone who actually does this.
"After 8+ years of competing in USPSA and some IDPA, I've stood at enough loading benches and shot enough matches to know exactly what frustrates shooters about managing their data. So I built the tools I wish I'd had decades ago."
Five years ago, I created 3D Stage Builder—revolutionary 3D stage design software that's now been used to design thousands of stages worldwide. Over 4,200 kits sold to clubs, match directors, and serious competitors who needed better tools for stage visualization and planning. That project taught me something crucial: when you build tools with genuine domain expertise, the shooting community responds.
The breaking point for RangeLogs.io? Standing at a major match, realizing I'd left my best load data in a notebook at home. Again. That was the moment I decided to stop complaining about bad software and build something that actually works the way shooters think.
I've been there—trying to remember which powder charge gave you the best groups six months ago. Searching through years of range notes trying to find that one load recipe. Losing track of which firearms need maintenance. Forgetting lot numbers when you finally find ammo that shoots great.
This isn't venture-backed Silicon Valley software built by people who think "brass" is something you polish. This is built by someone who knows the difference between 115gr and 147gr matters, who understands why chronograph data is critical, and who appreciates that lot numbers can make or break your match ammo supply.
RangeLogs.io is software built with genuine domain expertise. Every feature comes from real needs I've experienced at the loading bench, at the range, and in competition. Just like 3D Stage Builder solved real problems for match directors and stage designers, RangeLogs.io solves real problems for shooters managing their data.
Whether you're perfecting match loads, managing a growing collection, or just want your data organized properly, RangeLogs.io speaks your language—because it's built in the same language I think in when I'm at the range.
P.S. If you see something I dont have here, and could be usefull, let me know and i'll build it.
